  • Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is one of the public, state-owned institutions in India. It was founded in 1964. DAVV was previously Indore University and its boundaries are limited to Indore city for the beginning. Then, it's broadened into Alirajpur, Khargone, Dhar, Jhabua, Khandwa, Barwani and Burhanpur.

    In the year 1991, DAVV also started self-supporting courses. These courses provide students with partial support. This helped improve the overall performance of the university, both management and students.

    Accreditation and Ranking

    DAVV is accredited with a grade from NAAC. Also, it is the only college that is located in Madhya Pradesh to have this. The University is home to over 300 colleges associated with it. This University is accredited through UGC, AICTE.

Over 1500 pupils have been enrolled with an average that is INR 6.16 LPA. DAVV saw a 185% increase for the highest CTC when compared to the previous year.

    Admission

    The admissions process for some of the postgraduate and undergraduate courses is dependent on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) which is administered by NTA. It also takes other nation entrance tests like GATE, GPAT etc. Below is the information:

    Candidates applying for admission to UG or integrated programs such as BBA, BCA, BPES or BBA, for example, must have earned a minimum of 50% of marks at the 10+2 exam or equivalent in the relevant streams and subjects from a recognized school. Admissions will be determined by the CUET score, followed by counselling.

    Candidates who want to be admitted into postgraduate programs such as MBA, M.Com, M.ScMA, etc. must hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant stream that has at least 55 per cent marks from a recognized institution.

    Admissions seekers for MAor M.Sc, MBA/ MSW must pass a written exam as well as a valid score during entrance tests.

    Additionally, applicants must be able to obtain an academic master's degree that has at least 55% marks in order to be eligible for these M.phil as well as Ph.D. research-based programs. Selection is made through the counselling of entrance exams DET, conducted by the university.
